£900,000 compensation awarded to boy after leg amputation
Posted: 07 October 2011225 Days ago

Medical negligence compensation of £900,000 was awarded to a six year old boy from Warwickshire after his left leg had to be amputated.

The parents of the boy were told that his left leg would have to be amputated just below the knee when he was just three weeks old.

Claiming that the negligence of medical staff costed their son Leo Ison, from Bedworth, his leg, Fiona and Ian Ison have launched a medical negligence compensation claim against Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital.

£900,000 in compensation was awarded to the family from the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, who were not represented in court.
