A claim for car accident compensation has been launched by a photographer who suffered serious personal injury after being run over by an unmarked police car, believed to be transporting Prince Harry.
The accident occurred outside the Beaufort club in Knightsbridge when Tony Margiocchi ,54, an ex-policeman and former soldier, was hit by a Ford Galaxy people carrier, as he waited with other members of the press for the Prince, who had been at the exclusive West End club celebrating England’s win over France in the six nations rugby tournament.
As a consequence of the accident, Mr. Margiocchi suffered a broken leg in the incident and tore his Achilles tendon. The severity of the injuries rendered him bed-ridden for months and unable to return to work.
For his injuries and loss of earning, a claim for personal injury compensation has been launched by him against the Metropolitan Police Force.
