Accidents Abroad
Today many people work and travel abroad, and accidents can happen.
It used to be difficult to claim compensation for an accident abroad, but recent changes in the Law mean that it is now much easier to make compensation claims for accidents abroad.
Due to certain laws, tour operators have a duty of care to their customers to make sure that their accommodation is safe and hygienic and that they are not exposed to the risk of personal injury, disease or infection. Where this duty of care has been broken, any customer suffering personal injury, distress, loss or damage may well have a claim against their tour operator in the UK.
Of course not all holidays are part of a "package." Anyone that has organised their own holiday or business trip may be able to make a claim if they have been injured in an accident or suffered in some other way, but a claim would probably be subject to the law of that country, and would have to be made there.
