Occupier’s Liability

The occupier of any given premises have a responsibility, by law, to maintain those premises in a safe and secure manner to ensure that all who visit the premises are protected. If you have been injured on another person’s property, you may be entitled to compensation under the Occupier’s Liability Act of 1957.

This act covers any property that is not owned by you but has a duty towards those who set foot on the premises, including;

- Supermarkets
- Industrial Working Sites
- Offices

Sustaining a personal injury on any premises may allow you to make a compensation claim if the owner or occupier is deemed liable for the personal injury.
